Mount Tomorr is the great bulk of mountain that looms over the Berat region. Revered for centuries — in both Christian and Bektashi traditions — it is the destination of a major annual pilgrimage in August. For travellers, its rocky peaks and green slopes offer some of the most rewarding hiking in southern Albania.
Visiting
Tomorr is a serious mountain; the best way to experience it is on a guided 4x4 and hiking excursion from Berat. Allow a full day, and come prepared with proper footwear and water.
